Pistol Skills Builder

Students failing to meet and maintain our safety requirements and/or who cannot meet and immediately demonstrate the minimum skills required for the specific class may be removed from training.

Course Description

The Pistol Skills Builder is a semi-formal course designed for all shooters and all applications. It does not matter if you are a new or experienced shooter, nor does it matter the application. The pistol blocks of instruction are designed to help you develop your skills and enable you through a series of static and dynamic drills that will enhance your abilities and make you a better shooter.

Course Outline

  • Malfunction Drills
  • Static Warm-Up Drills
  • Reload and Transition Drills
  • Static Speed and Accuracy Drills
  • Dynamic Movement Drills
  • Use of Cover and Concealment Drills

Equipment List 

  • Belt with Concealed, or Competition Holster and Magazine Carriers
  • 2 Pistol Magazines
  • Eye Protection
  • Ear Protection
  • Water
  • Snacks

Ammo

  • Estimated round count: 250 Rounds of Pistol Ammo
  • Lead core ammunition only
  • Ammunition is available for purchase at Franktown Firearms facility

About The Instructor

Cam is a 13 year Special Forces Green Beret and Infantryman with multiple combat and non-combat tours in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. His experience includes Unconventional Warfare, Foreign Internal Defense, Hostage Rescue, Direct Action, Counter Terrorism, Counter Insurgency, Special Reconnaissance, Counter Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Security Force Assistance. Previous experience includes working for or in support of:
